Sanitation Route Driver

The purpose of the Sanitation Route Driver is to clean, sanitize and transport portable restrooms to and from customer locations.

  • Delivery, pick up, loading, cleaning, maintenance and or repair of company rental equipment
  • Consistently provides reliable and courteous service to our customers with safety as a top priority
  • Operation and maintenance of service vehicle, including daily vehicle inspections, proper preparing of necessary paper work and vehicle related reports


  • The servicing and maintenance of rental equipment
  • Operating and maintaining company work vehicle
  • Transport equipment using all safety procedures
  • Follow all driving laws including use of seat belt at all times
  • Adhere to all safety requirements at all times
  • Set up equipment as instructed by customer

Position Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License and DOT (Department of Transportation) Health Card
  • Ability to read, understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Federal and State DOT
  • Ability to read and understand street maps and routing directions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with customers and staff
  • Ability to operate ramps, lifts and secure equipment and devices as needed
  • Ability to work additional hours during peak business seasons, including weekends

Additional Requirements

  • Wear correct job site safety equipment (i.e., safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and work boots (required))
  • Daily DOT vehicle inspection and proper completion of pre-trip inspection reports
  • Performing minor maintenance tasks on vehicles, fueling, ensuring periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is reported and completed
  • Keeps the inside and outside of assigned vehicle clean and organized at all times
  • Immediate reporting of incidents or accidents to management
  • Displays professionalism by approaching others in tactful manner. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions

Education and/ or Expreience

  • High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills

  • Ability to speak effectively to managers, co-works and customers

Computer Skills

  • Ability to use computerized time clock system

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift 70-125 lbs.

  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary
