On Site was proud to serve the Tough Mudder Twin Cities 2016 with portable restrooms and hand washing stations. If you haven’t heard of it yet, the Tough Mudder is know as America’s Toughest Obstacle Course. This brutal fitness challenge was held this year at the Wild Wings of Oneka Hunting Club in Hugo, MN outside of the Twin Cities. The weekend’s weather was perfect and the event attracted thousands of participants or “mudders” to come out and try their luck at the course. We even sent someone out for the event to document all the fun. Check out our video of the setup and event participants.

For the event On Site of the Twin Cities provided:
The Tough Mudder event has been traveling around the country for years. Throughout this time it’s had over 2 million participants. The course combines a long distance course length that spans from 10-12 miles throughout rugged outdoor terrain. Throughout the course, there are several challenging military style obstacles that all have the mudders getting dirty and challenging their stamina and physical strength.
Tough Mudder Twin Cities 2016 Obstacles The Twin Cities Tough Mudder featured some pretty wicked obstacles this year, but all of the mudders worked together to help out their teammates.
Tough Mudder and the Army
The Army is one of the big sponsors of the Tough Mudder, so there were plenty Army challenges around the vendor tents. There were also plenty of men and women in uniform speaking to participants and spectators throughout the day. It was amazing saying the Pledge of Allegiance while watching these brave men and women. Other sponsors included Shock top and Merrel which also had some fun activities around the vendor area.
Giving Back Through Tough Mudder The event also gives people a great opportunity to give back to local or national charities that matter to them. Tough Mudder’s official US charity partner is Team Rubicon. This is a non-profit disaster response organization that gets military veterans to support communities affected by natural disasters. To get more information on Team Rubicon visit their page https://toughmudder.com/charity . Participants can also form teams to benefit the charities of their choice. If you commit to a minimum fundraising target, you could even run for free!
At the end of the day, the Tough Mudder Twin Cities was an awesome event that brought people together. It also provided some money for great non-profits. The challenges were tough, but it also looked like all of the mudders had a great time. Congrats to all participants and finishers form the 2016 Tough Mudder Twin Cities and I hope that On Site Companies can continue to be a part of this exciting event.
