Participants at outdoor events and workers at construction sites need access to restrooms. Some individuals at these locations may also have disabilities which make it impractical for them to use a standard portable bathroom without special accommodations. This requires the renting and use of ADA-compliant portable restrooms. On many premises it is also a legal requirement to have ADA porta potties. At On Site Companies, we offer ADA portable restrooms for an array of outdoor functions and venues.
Our ADA Porta Potties
Each of our ADA-compliant porta potties is equipped with handrails, direct side transfer from wheelchair to seat, and a large space for full range of movement. Toilet paper and hand sanitizer dispensers are attached as well. All ADA porta potties are delivered clean, sanitized, fully stocked, and ready to use.
ADA portable restrooms include features that exceed the features of standard handicapped-accessible porta potties. These ADA portable bathrooms must include the following:
- Reinforced unit structure and reinforced interior grab bars.
- Magnetic or hinged doors for easier shutting.
- Sufficient room for the user to make a 360 degree turn.
- A sign indicating the porta potty is ADA-compliant. The sign usually displays a blue wheelchair image with braille underneath the image.
- At least one ADA porta potty for every 20 portable restrooms onsite, and at least one ADA porta potty in each group of toilets
