As a professional working in the construction business, you know that having the proper facilities is crucial to supporting your employees’ hygiene and keeping them happy. This can be especially true when it comes to road construction sites, where you likely don’t have access to running water and flushing toilets. When you’re working on a road project, the last thing you want is to try to figure out where you’re going to use the restroom or to have to walk a mile only to have to wait in a long line. Knowing how many porta potties to provide at a road construction site is critical to the success of your project. If you don’t have enough, you run the risk of creating not only unsanitary situations, but an unhappy workplace.
Road Construction Bathrooms
At On Site, we’re experts on all things portable sanitation. We offer a wide range of portable toilets and accessories, so we can help you outfit your construction site with the correct facilities right away. From our standard porta potty unit to our Fresh Flush Mobile Office, you’ll be sure to find exactly what you need.
Standard Construction Porta Potty
By far the most popular choice for construction crews, our Standard Construction porta potty provides for all your basic restroom needs. Always delivered clean, sanitized, and accompanied by excellent customer service, this reliable design does exactly what it needs to do. On Site’s portable toilets for construction sites are designed to withstand daily use, making them an ideal choice for a busy project.
Mobile Construction Restroom
Just like the name says, our Mobile Construction restroom is perfect for projects that require you to move locations frequently, such as road construction. This style of portable restroom comes with the same rugged design as the standard porta potty, only with enhanced mobility. Each mobile restroom is affixed to a trailer with a standard 1-7/8″ ball and stabilizing legs for placement on uneven ground.
Hook Unit Portable Restroom
Our Hook Unit portable restroom is our standard construction unit modified with a harness that allows it to be lifted by a crane to reach elevated areas of a construction site. This makes it easy to move via crane throughout multi-story builds.
Fresh Flush Mobile Office
If your construction project could benefit from a more formal office setting to accomodate client visits, consider outfitting it with the Fresh Flush Mobile Office System. This system is meant to hook up to the restroom facilities that are already installed into your job site trailer. The Fresh Flush system hooks your job trailer’s bathroom up to fresh and grey water holding tanks to provide standard restroom facilities to your workers and guests to your job site.
In addition to the variety of options for portable toilets, On Site offers a selection of accessories to go with them. Our Construction Hand Wash Stations can provide a clean place for your employees to wash up after using the restroom. These stations will provide your job site with a fresh water source, along with paper towels and soap dispenser. Additionally, this two-sink unit can facilitate more than 600 separate washes and is designed to keep waste water separate from fresh water.
You can also outfit your construction site with a SaniSink, which is a portable hot water sink. These sinks can provide you not only with hot water for hand washing, but cold water for drinking, as well. The standard portable hand washing station unit uses five gallon water jugs for the water source and an empty jug to catch the waste water, keeping it sanitary for everyone.
Determining the Correct Number of Facilities
After going through your options and settling on your desired amenities, the only thing left to do is figure out how many porta potties you’ll need overall. The number you’ll need will depend on the number of employees working at the construction site each day. In general, we recommend one restroom for every 10 employees. If you’d like more information, please contact us or refer to our construction site usage chart.
